Marchwood Men Run For Charity In The Chichester Half-Marathon

Two directors of Chichester-based Marchwood IFA, James Mayne and Hamish Gairns, are running in the Chichester Half-Marathon on Sunday 13th October in aid of the Sussex Snowdrop Trust (thesussexsnowdroptrust.com) a unique charity providing ‘Care at Home’ for local children who have a life-threatening illness or who may be terminally ill. They have raised over £150 so far and are aiming to hit the £500 target by the day of the race.

Managing director and mortgage advisor, James Mayne, commented “It’s quite a challenging course because it includes the climb up to the top of the Trundle Hill above Goodwood. To be honest, just running up there will feel like a victory of sorts.”

Pension and investment specialist, Hamish Gairns, added “It’s a really worthwhile local charity, so we’ll get round somehow, even if I have to carry James the last few miles.”

The company is also offering to donate a further £50 to the Snowdrop Trust for every critical illness policy sold between now and 31st December 2013 which includes critical illness cover for children. Contact info@marchwoodifa.co.uk for more details.
